A Grandson Gets Engaged!

Cara Allison Swain recently said, “Yes!” and became engaged to be married to our grandson, Derek Balcom (Robyn’s son). We are delighted, and we hope you will join us in rejoicing at this news!

Derek flew to Atlanta and traveled 5 hours to an Airbnb in Blue Ridge. He and the bride-to-be’s family beautifully decorated the porch with roses, twinkle lights, and candles. Cara was sent downstairs to grab something for her sister, and found a path of rose petals which led to Derek outside, where the proposal took place.

We wish this couple MUCH joy and many years of happiness together!
